Creating a Voice Over Narration: An Action Plan

So, perhaps you have a script that requires English voice over narration.  Or, perhaps you need to write a script that will utilize such narration.  In either case, it requires a plan of action to make it a success.  Fortunately, we can provide you with some advice in that regard!

Create An Outline For Your Voice Over Narration Script

First of all, you need to have an outline for your script.  It won’t do you any good to simply dive in and attempt to write a masterpiece.  True, it could happen, but it’s not likely.  Consider the audience you will be presenting your project to.  It will help to consider what sort of interests that group had and play on them.  Of course, try to be as original as possible during the process!

Don’t Become Monotonous

When you are done with the outline, you should have a good idea of where you want your final project to go.  Of course, you don’t want your voice over script to become overly monotonous.  Viewers will become disinterested if it sounds like the narrator is simply reading from a script or if his tone does not change frequently enough.  Consider splitting the narration amongst two or more readers.  This will keep the dialogue fresh and entertaining for your audience.  You might also consider adding in some sound effects to emphasize a point.  In these cases, you don’t want to get carried away.  Too many sound effects can have a negative impact, too.

Get Feedback

The best way to determine if your project will be a success is to let others present you suggestions.  Gather a group of friends and family and do a reading for them.  Be sure to listen to their criticism and honestly consider what they are telling you, it will make your project come out better in the long run!
